Bruyn is a first-year MISM Student and recently had the privilege of meeting Utah's Lieutenant Governor, Deidre M. Henderson, at a special event hosted by the Marriott Inclusion and Belonging Society.
He shares: "As a Grad Student in Information Systems at BYU, this was an invaluable opportunity to intersect my passion for data analytics and cyber security with real-world civic engagement.
Lt. Gov. Henderson's insights into our government were not only enlightening but also deeply relevant to my studies. She highlighted the crucial role of data integrity and informed decision-making in our democratic processes.
This experience was a profound reminder of the power of leveraging data for the greater good, a principle I'm passionate about in my academic and professional journey.
