More About McKaylee
Career Aspirations: "I would love to be in a project management position in the future, but for now, I just want to gain as much experience as possible and learn from my peers."
Advice for Students: "Be open! Take advantage of any mentorship opportunities and have a positive attitude. Having experience in any field is better than none! Find people in your dream field of work and just ask about what they do and what tools they use."
Best Piece of Advice Received:
- "Struggling is the best kind of teacher. Don’t be needy and problem-solve your way through the solution instead of immediately asking for help. You will learn the most when you struggle, and it’s okay! It’s 100% okay to ask for help but try solving it on your own first! (Google & ChatGPT are your best friends!)"
- "Make your manager look good. (Happy manager, happy life)"
- "Be open and try a lot of different things! I didn’t think I would end up in security (in fact, I didn’t want to), but I saw an opportunity and took it. Now I am loving it and grateful for this opportunity to work at AES in cybersecurity!"
Hobbies: "I really like mountain and road biking and have recently gotten into rudimentary game development using Unity."
Bucket List Goal: "Become a mother."
Favorite Music/Artist: "Anything from the Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse soundtrack."
McKaylee is more than happy to meet with students who have questions. We are proud of McKaylee's achievements and excited to see what the future holds!
