Tate graduated recently and began looking for a new job a few months ago. What we admire about his is his positivity and networking. When he announced that he was searching for a new job, optimism radiated from his words. When he shared that he finally found a job with Adobe, gratitude filled every line. In the comments section on both posts, he takes time to thank anyone who offered help or congratulations.

We challenge each of you to maintain the same hope in your job search and the some appreciation for your peers. Here's what he shared:

"Being unemployed, though stressful, has been very refreshing. I was able to cash in on some paternity leave (which included seeing my daughter take her first steps!), and I got to finally start a project that has been on the back burner for a few years while learning Flutter, Go, and Google Cloud. Despite the job market being tough, countless people reached out with their connections and advice, and it made all the difference.

Sam Hsiung was one of the special people who helped me during this time, and I can’t thank him enough for going out of his way to review my resumes and help me learn how to better advocate for myself. My wife can attest that I was so psyched and confident by the end of every phone call with him. Google is lucky to have him.

Another couple of important people are Cameron Crump, CDR and Chuck Hudgins - Cameron got me a foot in the door at Adobe and Chuck was there to answer any and all of my questions and ultimately present me a job offer. Adobe is one of the top companies I want to work for, so naturally I celebrated with my wife and daughter for an entire week after getting the offer 🎉

I’ll be finishing up my paternity leave before I start in September. I’m stoked to finally be part of Adobe!"
