We are excited to spotlight Noelle Burton, who recently completed her role as a Software Engineer Intern at Pluralsight, working in a remote and hybrid setting.
In her role, Noelle was responsible for:
- Participating in various Scrum meetings
- Pairing and mobbing to write code collaboratively
- Writing unit tests for her code
- Completing PR reviews for her teammates
Reflecting on her experience, Noelle shared,
"The highlight of my internship was my team. They taught me a lot, treated me like an equal teammate, and supported my goals."
Why Pluralsight?
Noelle chose Pluralsight after hearing about the positive experiences from previous interns, who encouraged her to apply. Pluralsight strives to bring interns back as full-time employees, though it is not guaranteed and depends on individual performance and position availability.
A Surprising Aspect of Her Internship:
"The most surprising aspect of my internship was how involved I was able to be with my team. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but they provided an environment that allowed me to hit the ground running and work alongside them all summer."
More About Noelle
Interests Outside of Work:
"When I’m not at work or in the classroom, I’m usually at the gym. It’s my favorite way to destress and unwind."
Favorite Travel Destination:
"My favorite place to travel is back to South Carolina, where I served my mission. It’s full of amazing people and so many things to see."
Noelle is happy to connect with students who have questions about her experience. We are proud of her accomplishments and look forward to seeing her future success!
