Riley has always been interested in business but never imagined pursuing a path in technology—until IS 201 changed everything. What started as a class requirement quickly became a favorite, opening the door to coding and tech courses that sparked a new passion. That passion ultimately led Riley to the Information Systems program, where they found the perfect blend of business and technology.
One of the biggest lessons Riley has learned from the IS Junior Core is that hard work always pays off. The heavy workload, combined with the competitive internship search, made the first semester challenging. Despite putting in the effort, the results weren’t immediate. But by trusting the process, staying patient, and continuing to work hard, Riley is now seeing the payoff—and it’s been completely worth it.
Beyond academics, Riley dreams of traveling to Switzerland to experience the breathtaking Alps. An outdoor enthusiast at heart, they hope to one day climb the Matterhorn, turning their love for the mountains into an unforgettable adventure.
Riley’s journey is a great example of embracing new opportunities, trusting the process, and finding unexpected passions along the way.
