If I put my Major GPA on my resume, do I have to call it my major GPA?

Our recommendation is yes. The word Major should be listed in front of a Major GPA.

The default on a resume is to list the cumulative GPA, hence if there is no clarifying label or term in front of GPA, it will be assumed that the GPA reflected is the Cumulative GPA.

The problem is, it is sometimes confusing for employers reviewing resumes and applications when matching those to official and unofficial school transcripts, to not see the GPA they are expecting to see.
