The normal work schedule will be Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. The purpose of the policy is to promote efficiency and continuity throughout all campus administrative functions, provide students with high quality assistance and accessibility to all academic and campus services, ensure that students receive an engaging education, and respond to emerging student needs. The District may consider an individual request to temporarily reside outside of the State of California or outside the 200-mile limit on a case-by-case basis, not to exceed twelve consecutive months. Salary Range: 40 Compensation: Starting at $122,257 per year (range 40, step 1), with annual salary step increases up to step 5. In addition, after five years of district service, employees earn a longevity stipend that increases over time. Employees must make arrangements for the direct deposit of paychecks into the financial institution of their choice, via electronic fund transfer. Basic Function: Under general direction, coordinate the development, implementation and evaluation of information technology (IT) security standards, best practices, architecture and systems for the district to ensure the integrity and security of the district’s IT infrastructure and the protection, integrity, confidentiality, and availability of information assets spanning the entire enterprise; and perform related duties as assigned. Distinguishing Characteristics: Information Security Engineer is distinguished from Infrastructure Systems Engineer by the former’s responsibility for implementation, maintenance and monitoring the district’s overall Information Services security program while the latter position focuses on design, implementation and maintenance of the district’s technology infrastructure. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. Develop and implement security applications, policies, standards and procedures intended to prevent the unauthorized use, disclosure, modification, loss or destruction of data; works with the Infrastructure Systems Engineer and other staff to ensure the integrity and security of the department’s IT infrastructure; reviews the development, testing and implementation of IT security products and control techniques in all locations and departments throughout the district. 2. Monitor security systems and identify, troubleshoot, diagnose, resolve and report IT security problems and incidents; help coordinate and conduct investigations of suspected breaches in IT Security; respond to emergency IT security situations. 3. Consult with application developers and other Academic Information Services staff to ensure production applications meet established IT security policies and standards. 4. Promote and coordinate the development of training and education on IT security and privacy awareness topics for district administrators, faculty and staff; develop appropriate security-incident notification procedures for district management. 5. Conduct vulnerability assessments to identify existing or potential electronic data and information system compromises and their sources; coordinate IT investigative matters with appropriate law enforcement agencies. 6. Perform audits and periodic inspections of district information systems to ensure security measures are functioning and effectively utilized and recommend appropriate remedial measures to eliminate or mitigate future system compromises. 7. Review, evaluate and recommend software products related to IT systems security, such as virus scanning and repair, encryption, firewalls, internet filtering and monitoring, intrusion detection, etc. 8. Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and participating in professional associations. Other Duties: 1. May participate in the review of IT facility acquisition, construction and remodeling projects to ensure conformity to established security policies and guidelines. 2. May serve as a witness or subject-matter expert for the department in legal matters concerning IT systems security. 3. Attends various meetings and participate on committees as required. 4. Education & Experience: To be eligible for this position, you must meet and provide evidence of the following minimum qualifications: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, systems engineering or a related field, and at least five years of progressively responsible experience involving applications and/or IT infrastructure systems, including two years of IT security-related experience involving risk identification and mitigation, security architecture development and compliance; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Experience in a public agency is preferred. NOTE : For work experience, one “year” is defined as equivalent to 40 hours per week for 12 months, or at least 2,080 hours. Desirable Qualifications: • Security Certifications Licenses & Other Requirements: A valid California driver’s license and the ability to maintain insurability under the district’s vehicle insurance program. Amazon is looking for an AI Content Expert II to help with annotations, content generation, and data analysis. As part of the Data Team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training data to improve and expand AGI's Large Language Models' (LLMs) capabilities.Key job responsibilities As an AI Content Expert, you will be responsible for creating training data that are complex in nature and will require you to make informed and high judgement decisions in each case. You will be working closely with scientists and engineers to review and update guidelines, identify tooling improvement opportunities, and engage in conversations regarding the quality of data. Your key responsibilities will include (but not limited to) the below: Creating and annotating high-quality complex training data in multiple modalities (text, image, video) on various topics, including technical or science-related contentWriting grammatically correct texts in different styles with various degrees of creativity, strictly adhering to provided guidelinesPerforming audits and quality checks of tasks completed by other specialists, if requiredMaking sound judgments and logical decisions when faced with ambiguous or incomplete information while performing tasksDiving deep into issues and implementing solutions independentlyIdentifying and reporting tooling bugs and suggesting improvements Basic Qualifications:An Associate’s Degree or related work experience2+ years of experience working with written language data, including experience with annotation, and other forms of data markup.Strong proficiency in English. Candidate must demonstrate excellent writing, reading, and comprehension skills (C2 level in the Common European Framework CEFR scale).Strong understanding of U.S.-based culture, society, and norms.Strong research skills to gather relevant information, understand complex topics, and synthesize multiple resources; understanding of basic academic integrity, i.e. plagiarism.Excellent attention to details and ability to focus for a long period of time.Comfortable with high-school level STEMAbility to effectively write and evaluate diverse subject matter across various domainsAbility to adapt writing style to suit various style guidelines and customers.Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.Experience with creating complex data for LLM training and evaluation.1+ year(s) of experience working with command line interfaces and basic UNIX commands.Familiarity with common markup languages such as HTML, XML, Markdown.Familiarity with common standard text formats such as JSON, CSV, RTF.Working knowledge of Python or another scripting language.Familiarity with regular expressions syntax.Familiarity with Large Language Models.Comfort in annotation work that may include sensitive content.Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $40,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $86,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
