This project is focused on the training aspect. For those who have never or rarely operated a computer this position will teach them the basics of how to use a computer and the internet safely and securely. We want to ensure everyone in the City of Racine can easily use a computer to do the things they need to do such as homework, research information important to them, find and apply for a job, complete online forms, and partake in telehealth. This job involves being taught how to go out into the community, work with non-profit organizations, and others to provide citizen training for those who speak Spanish or have limited English skills in the use of computers, and then doing that work.This is very impactful work because the purpose of a Smart City is to improve the lives of a city’s citizens and increase economic development through appropriate use of technology.Position PurposeUnder the direction of the Chief Information Officer, this position will help teach those who speak Spanish or have limited English skills basic computer skills. This project will be hosted at the NETL Morgantown, WV campus.NETL's Reaction Engineering Team is evaluating innovative microwave processes for a wide range of applications. Characterization of specific material properties such as temperature dependent dielectric measurements are essential for modeling of the reactor and fundamental material designs. These properties are not well documented and there are limited parties that can make the measurement. The creation of a database is essential for the growth of the technology and the use of ML/AI for design. This project will assist in developing an on-line database for essential material properties for microwave science. The participant will collaborate with NETL scientist to understand the data, correlations between data sets and creating a searchable database for the properties.Our objective for the selected participant is to gain a basic understanding of the critical material properties for microwave modeling and how databases are used for ML/AI applications. The participant will be collaborating on a public use tool housed on the NETL website that will be referenced in publications and advertised at conferences.Stipend: Participants receive a biweekly stipend based on their educational level. Stipend payments are taxable as an educational benefit. Senior Networking Security Analyst
ARA's ISR division is looking to hire a Senior Networking Security Analyst! The Senior Networking Security Analyst must have 3+ years’ experience supporting the continuous monitoring and risk mitigation of sensitive networks and systems in accordance with DoD cybersecurity policies, procedures, and best practices. Experience with configuring, scanning, monitoring, alerting, and reporting security tools. Offer is contingent upon contract award. * Must be a US citizen with an active TS security clearance * In addition, desired skills/certifications are: + Experience with PCAP collection. + Experience as a SOC analyst. + Certification such as CISSP, CSA, Sec+, CySA+, GCWN, GCED or CEH + 8 total years of experience (or BS degree with 2 total years of experience) Who is ARA?
